Six Easy to Follow Steps to Replace your Daniel Boone Low Pellet Sensor:

  1. Unplug your Daniel Boone Grill before you begin
  2. Remove the (2) screws/bolts on the front of the Control Board Panel
  3. Pull the control panel out towards you. Let the control panel hang.
  4. Locate the smaller 6-Pin Plug on the back / top of your Control Board
  5. Gently remove the plug.
  6. Locate the ambient air temp sensor on the side of the hopper (behind small vent near bottom)
  7. Using a Philips head screwdriver and holding the nuts on the back, remove both bolts. Let the sensor hang.
  8. Next, clip off the small zip tie holding the set of wires together
  9. Next, completely remove black, plastic nut from the yellow low pellet sensor
  10. Remove the sensor by bringing your hand through the hole (created by detaching control board) and pull the sensor out of the hopper
  11. Both the ambient air temp sensor and the low-pellet sensor will now freely come out of the hopper.
  12. Replacement will be the opposite of removal
